Juliane Golan, M.D.

About Dr. Golan

Dr. Golan completed her surgical training at Huntington Hospital and is thrilled to serve the same community and work with familiar colleagues. She is dedicated to providing excellent patient care while offering her patients tailored options for their unique conditions and lifestyles. She specializes in minimally invasive (robotic and laparoscopic) colon and rectal surgery and has adopted an enhanced recovery after surgery protocol to facilitate best outcomes for her patients who undergo abdominal and pelvic surgery.

Dr. Juliane Golan is actively engaged in clinical research. Her main interests emphasize strategies for improving patient outcomes after major and minor surgery while limiting opioid use to help her patients recover faster while experiencing less pain and side effects. She participates in the colorectal research program along with her partners at Huntington Medical Research Institutes.

Dr. Golan is also committed to teaching the next generation of surgeons. She serves as a voluntary faculty member of the Huntington Hospital General Surgery Residency Program where she provides clinical guidance and instruction for best patient care, gives didactic lectures, and facilitates hands-on learning in the operating room. Outside of daily patient care, Dr. Golan additionally mentors surgical residents who are interested in colon and rectal research.

Dr. Golan is an active member of her local hospital and national surgical community. At Huntington Hospital, she is a member of Pandemic Disaster Task Force and the Pharmacy, Therapeutics, and Dietary Committee. Nationally, she is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, and the Surgical Society of the Alimentary Tract. She is currently on the Public Relations and Communications Committees for the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. She is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and board-certified in colorectal surgery.
